Community and Consultation

A Moveable Feast, South Westminster - Community Needs Assessment

We have contributed to the development of this Health Living Centre's forward strategy by carrying out a community needs assessment to identify the healthy living needs of the Arabic and Bangladeshi communities in South Westminster; and explore the extent to which services could be extended to the wider community. We facilitated a workshop for partners to feed back their views on the Business Plan .


Caprenters TMO - Developing and implementing a Ballot Strategy

We have carried out a resident satisfaction survey, increased the TMO's membership and developed and developed a communication plan with the Board and Staff.  We are currently assisting the TMO Board to implement the communication plan.


EC1 New Deal for Communities - BME Research


In partnership with West ham and Plaistow NDC we carried out research into the needs of the local BME communities and produced recommendations on how the regeneration partnership could engage with these communities and ensure that the programme met their needs.


Hangleton and Knoll, Brighton - Inclusion Project

We are working with local community organisations and agencies to carry out a BME community profile and develop a sustainable action plan, which facilitates the egagement of the BME community in local initiatives and community groups.


Hyde Housing - Engageing the Community and Raising Levels of Involvement

We worked with Hyde Housing and the New Cross Gate Steering Group to increase levels of engagement of residents with an additional focus on the hard-to-reach, in the stock transfer process.  We also supported the communications process, suported and advised the Boards, facilitated service provider stakeholder meetings and developed engagement strategies including for the engagement of young people.


South Westminster Renewal Partnership - Community Survey, Forward Planning Day and Partners Day

We recruited and trained local residents as community researchers, and designed and carried out a community survey to identify key issues and priorities to feed into a revised Neighbourhood Renewal Plan.  We also designed and facilitated a Forward Planning day for Steering Group members and a Partners Day which brought together statutory, voluntary community and private sector partners to further develop the Neighbourhood Renewal Plan.


South Westminster Renewal Partnership - Employment Workshop

We designed and facilitated a workshop bringing together a range of statutory, voluntary and community organisations to identify the contribution they could make to an estate employment pilot being developed on the Churchill Gardens Estate in South Westminster.


Voluntary Action Waltham Forest - Community Empowerment Plan

Through desktop research, focus groups and interviews, we developed a community empowerment plan to eanable the organisation to continue with and enhance he work previously carried out by the Community Empowerment Network.


West Ham and Plaistow NDC - Community Involvement Services

Our staff have been involved in this project since its inception. We have devised the community engagement strategy that ensured residents' views underpinned the delivery of health, community safety, education, housing and social economic improvements to the aea as part of a £54 million programme.  Jointly with PEP we recruited and are managing the NDC's community involvement workers, overseeing and evaluating the operation of their small grants programme (the Community Initiatives Fund), providing training to residents and providing strategic advice on community engagement to the project team.
